IAJUS.pt helps legal professionals research Portuguese court decisions through the AI assistant they already use. Every result links back to where the decision was published.
This page is available in English only. The facts on it are the ones published across the IAJUS.pt site.
The answer to generative AI in law is not a bigger model. It is giving the model access to curated, up-to-date legal information, and ending each answer with a verifiable link to its source. A page is labelled an official source only after our server has verified it.
IAJUS publishes what is covered and what is not yet covered. Collection figures are measured and dated, and never come with a promise of completeness. The professional stays at the centre: IAJUS supports legal research and does not provide legal advice.

Four founding partners bring together legal practice, teaching, computing and data science: Rafael Bittencourt, Lucas Arieh Medina, Berto Igor Caballero and Eduardo Aurélio Resende Pereira. IAJUS grew from academic research into the limits of generative AI in law, at the University of Brasília Faculty of Law.
iajus.pt is operated by Celeris Juris Tecnologia e Inteligência Jurídica LTDA, a company incorporated under Brazilian law that owns the IAJUS trademark.
